When new equipment arrives, it is often covered by a manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that all parts are free of defects and poor workmanship. Thus, a buyer must be aware of any items that could void a warranty. These items include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Modification of any items/components delivered
- Improper startup
- Damage caused by operators or misuse of the equipment resulting in damage or misalignment etc.
- Improper application of equipment or not for intended use
- Damage caused by other equipment or operations
- Failure to safeguard equipment prior to installation or startup
- Use of parts or components not approved by OEM
- Operation of equipment in failure mode
- Failure to follow operating instructions
Chemac Inc. recommends always having a service technician or Chemac engineer present during start-up of new machinery. Most issues arise when operators, unfamiliar with equipment, try to correct perceived problems at site without checking with an OEM to ensure the procedure is approved. Don’t lose your warranty. If in doubt, please contact Chemac, Inc. to ensure you’re not forfeiting the warranty by default.
The standard warranty covers your equipment for up to 24 months from date of manufacture or as per the agreed to terms depending on what type of equipment. Warranty does not cover spare or wear parts unless they are defective. For more details, see the full warranty in the Chemac, Inc terms and conditions.
