Tarheel Construction, of New Bern, is nearing the completion of the newest facility being built for Chemac, Inc. The construction site is busy with crews working to meet the year-end deadline. So far, construction is nearly 75-80% complete.
The new building is located in the 6.5 acre Craven County Industrial Park. Nearby firms include quality names like Bosch, Carolina Plastics, Piedmont Gas, Duke Energy, Potash Corp., Moen Corp., International Paper Company, Chatsworth Products, Inc., BSH, Thermik Corp and Urethane Innovators, to name a few.
The industrial park and surrounding area is growing rapidly and only a few lots remain in the industrial park. Jeff Woods, of the Craven County Development office, is busy with new inquiries from firms looking to expand in the coastal community of Craven County and nearby scenic New Bern. The industrial parks is a registered Foreign Trade Zone 214 and is part of the new aerospace corridor of Coastal North Carolina.
Once complete, the new Chemac, Inc. facility will offer training, testing and customer service operations. It is a statement to Chemac, Inc.’s commitment to servicing customers and their needs and looking towards their future success with our unwavering support.
