Recently , URACA was recognized with a special prize for land recycling in Baden-Württemberg as part of a plan to restructure the company’s premises.
During the project, a major challenge was the difficult terrain, URACA collaborated with city administrators, an engineering office in Bad Urach and an architectural office in Eningen, to modernize the existing site location by installing state-of-the-art flood protection. The conversion and expansion took place between a federal highway and a country road. The resulting design was appealing and environmentally efficient. The construction of a fish ladder improved the nearby hydroelectric power plant by allowing the natural flow of the Erms. The improved flood protection and preserved natural surroundings will continue to benefit the city of Bad Urach for decades to come.
