The proper oil for your pump is critical for smooth operation and long life of the power end. During regular maintenance the oil level should be checked, and oil quality inspected to assure the oil is clean and all components are working properly. If the oil is foaming or milky white, this means the oil is mixing with water. Stop and find the source of the water before continuing. Oil in the water can come from several sources, the heat exchanger is leaking and or the crossheads are worn. Before replacing the oil with new oil, eliminate any sources of the water in the oil.
Oil changes are normally needed after every 1,000 hours or at least once per year. Check your instruction book for pump specific oil change intervals and oil quality specifications, especially if working on a new pump. New pumps first oil change should be done after 100 hours.
Each Uraca Instruction book contains process specific oil charts, please refer to these charts to ensure the proper oil quality for your pump. A standard oil for Uraca power ends includes:

Alternative oils also include:
Automotive gear oil SAE 85W-90 or fully synthetic gear oils ISO VG 220, PAO based meeting the DIN 51517T3 Standards (CLP lubricating oil)
Always make sure you check the oil chart in your instructions as some process pumps may require special oil for high temperatures or special applications.
